There are two visitor centers in the area: the Datun Visitor Center and the Erzihping Basic Visitor Center

Datun Visitor Center :
In addition to a wide variety of animal, plant and insect specimens, the indigo dying industry, culture and activities of early Yangmingshan settlers, is the theme of the center. Though the space is not large, it is well designed and decorated. When one looks over the lake, the mountains, the green pines and the sky through the huge French windows from the center, a contemplative mood will be inspired by the deep and secluded valley.
Erzihping Basic Visitor Center :
This center mainly provides help for the visually impaired and physical handicapped. They can enter the Erzihping wheelchair friends trail for the Erzihping Waterside Recreation Area from the center.
Services :
Recreation area information enquiries; historical and cultural data of indigo dyeing in Yangmingshan area; model display; display of specimens of representative plants, birds and insects; appreciation of multimedia programs on nature and ecology; and sales of explanatory publications, souvenirs, and foods and beverages.
Notice for visitors :

The area has wide diurnal temperature change and rains a lot in winter. Visitors are advised to prepare warm clothing and raingear before going up the mountain.
- Visitors driving to the area are advised to take their handbags, purses and valuable belongings with them when leaving their cars to prevent theft.
- There is no bus to the area so visitors must drive there by themselves. They may also take buses from the Royal Bus Ltd or the park bus and get off at the Mt. Cising Stop on the Yangjin Highway. Walk along the trail on Beihsian 101a Highway to get to the Datun Visitor Center. It is about a 2.5km walk and takes about 40 minutes.
Forbidden activities :

As roads on the mountain are narrow, large vehicles are not allowed to enter Beixian-101a Highway (Bailaka Highway). Offenders will be fined.
- Unauthorized vehicles (including bicycles) are not allowed to enter the Erzihping Trail.
- Keep quiet and no barbecues, camping, flying kites, paragliding, or burning incense for rituals are allowed in the area.
- Do not pick flowers (including herbs and Chinese silver grass), catch wildlife or insects, feed or set free fishes and animals in the area.
- Other prohibited activities as specified in the National Park Act.
